Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to CE Board Exam Generator, also shown on some pages as CE Board Exam Randomizer or PassCal, and to the website at https://ceboardexamgenerator.com. It also applies to the Android app version distributed through Google Play. The Android app uses a React Native shell for the same web-based learning tools and adds native features such as offline answer-sheet scanning.
The service is operated by Janclyde Espinosa / Engr. Clidez. This policy explains what data is collected, why it is used, and how users can request access, correction, or deletion.
Information We Collect
- Account and sign-in information. If you sign in, Supabase may process your email address, user ID, authentication provider, session tokens, and related account status. Sign-in may use magic links or Google OAuth.
- Premium access information. If you purchase premium access, we process the email or account ID needed to connect the purchase to your account. Website payments are handled by PayMongo. Android app purchases, when enabled, are handled through Google Play or an in-app purchase provider. We do not receive your full card, GCash, PayMaya, QRPH, or Google Play payment credentials.
- Device/session information. The service may store random device and scan IDs in local storage to support account security, offline retries, and duplicate prevention. The Android app requests internet access so it can load online content, authenticate accounts, sync approved records, and contact required services.
- Answer-sheet scanning. With your permission, the Android app uses the camera to capture printed answer sheets. Images are processed on the device for marker, bubble, set, and confidence detection. Temporary local images may be kept for review or diagnostics, but image upload is disabled by default. Confirmed records may include student name or number, answers, score, per-item results, confidence, and manual corrections.
- Usage, analytics, cookies, and advertising data. The website uses Google Analytics to understand visits and usage. The website may use Google AdSense to show ads to non-premium users. Google and other ad partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP address, browser/app information, and ad interaction data. AdSense ads are disabled inside the native Android app.
- Local app and browser storage. The service may store preferences such as dark mode, cached question lists, exam settings, calculator settings, and offline-download state on your device.
- Offline content downloads. In the Android app, you can download subject groups for offline use. Downloaded lecture pages, question JSON, images, manifest hashes, and download status are stored locally on your device using the app's local storage and device file system. This offline content is not uploaded back to us simply because you downloaded it.
- User-submitted content. If you use contribution or question-submission tools, we may process the contributor name, question text, formulas, images, answer choices, tags, and related content you voluntarily submit.
Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
The Android app does not request permissions for precise location, contacts, SMS, call logs, microphone, health data, or nearby devices. Camera permission is requested only when you use native answer-sheet scanning.
How We Use Information
- To provide exam generators, review materials, calculators, lecture pages, and offline access.
- To authenticate users, maintain sessions, prevent unauthorized premium access, and manage single-device access where applicable.
- To process premium purchases, restore access, and connect successful payments to the correct account.
- To maintain, debug, secure, and improve the website and Android app.
- To show ads on the website to non-premium users and measure website performance.
- To review and publish user-submitted questions or learning content when contribution tools are used.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share or process data through service providers that help operate the service, including:
- Supabase for authentication, account profiles, sessions, and premium account status.
- Netlify for hosting the website, serverless functions, and deployment logs.
- Google services for Google Analytics, Google AdSense on the website, Google OAuth sign-in, Google Play distribution, and Google Play payments when app purchases are enabled.
- PayMongo for website premium checkout and payment processing.
- GitHub where approved submitted question content or site files may be stored as part of the project repository workflow.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. They may process information in the countries where they operate.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics, advertising, authentication, and preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies or local storage may affect sign-in, premium access, saved preferences, and some app features.
Data Retention and Deletion
Account information is kept while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and maintain payment or security records. Offline downloads and local preferences remain on your device until you remove the downloaded subject, clear browser/app storage, uninstall the app, or reset app data.
Account deletion requests: If you have an account and want it deleted, contact us through the Contact page or the linked Engr. Clidez Facebook page and include the email address used for your CE Board Exam Generator account. We will delete or de-identify account data associated with the request unless we need to keep limited records for security, fraud prevention, payment reconciliation, or legal compliance. Where applicable, we will also request deletion from service providers that process the account data for us.
Your Choices
- You can sign out of your account at any time.
- You can clear browser storage, app storage, or downloaded offline subjects from your device.
- You can control website cookies through your browser settings.
- You can manage Google ad personalization through your Google account or device settings.
- You can request account deletion or ask privacy questions using the contact methods above.
Security
We use HTTPS, trusted service providers, and access controls to help protect user data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should keep their sign-in links, Google account, device, and browser/app storage secure.
Children's Privacy
CE Board Exam Generator is intended for civil engineering review and educational use. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
