Simple Curve Solver
Enter R1, the intersection angle I, and one known station. Choose whether the known station is PC, PI, or PT, then the remaining stations and simple curve elements are computed automatically.

R1 is the curve radius. Station input accepts either engineering station format, such as 10+000.000, or a plain meter value such as 10000.

Summary of Formulas
Simple curve: T = R tan(I / 2), L = pi R I / 180
PC known: PI = PC + T, PT = PC + L
PT known: PC = PT - L, PI = PC + T
PI is the vertex of the two tangents. For stationing, PC = PI - T and PT = PC + L.
